Job Title: Streets Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Streets Foreman to join our team at the City of Arvada. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our city's streets and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of streets, drainage ways, and right-of-ways, including snow and ice control operations, asphalt paving and patching, and concrete forming and finishing.
  • Supervise and train employees in the field, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Develop and implement work plans and schedules, including ordering supplies and equipment, and directing the completion of assigned work programs.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including citizens, vendors, and other city departments, to ensure effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment, making decisions within the scope of assigned authority, and addressing and handling customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, plus five years of experience with public works infrastructure or construction.
  • Colorado LTAP Road Scholar Diploma and demonstrated proficiency in operating equipment.
  • Current Colorado Class A commercial driver's license.
