Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Manager to join our team at Walmart. As an Optical Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates in the Vision Center, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of associates in the Vision Center, providing guidance and coaching to ensure excellent customer service and sales growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue.
  • Ensure accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and in-stock and inventory levels in the Vision Center.
  • Model and enforce Company policies and procedures, providing direction and guidance to associates on customer service approaches and techniques.
  • Oversee the implementation of community outreach programs and encourage associates to serve as good members of the community.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties.
  • Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating customers, selecting products based on customer needs, and maintaining confidential information.
  • Uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with associates and listening to concerns, researching issues, and suggesting resolutions.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, including developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
Requirements
  • Completion of 2 or more years of college or 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience or 2 years' general work experience including 1 year's optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
