We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at VitalCore Health Strategies in Greenwood, MS.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide quality care to patients in a correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality care to patients in accordance with the scope of practice for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to medical staff.
  • Administer medications to patients.
  • Provide wound care and dressing/bandaging.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of teaching plans for patients.
  • Document actions in the MAR and medical records.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Possesses an active CPR certification.
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
