Job Summary

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Medical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful contribution to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Preparation and Dispensing: Prepare medications by measuring, mixing, counting, and labeling prescription medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies and medications, receiving and checking shipments, performing stock counts, and reordering medications as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about medications, over-the-counter products, and general health inquiries, communicating effectively with patients, and assisting with prescription refills.
  • Prescription and Order Processing: Accurately enter patient prescriptions and medication orders into the pharmacy system, reviewing prescriptions for completeness, and verifying patient insurance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Technology or related field
  • 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
