Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II or EMT to join our team at Novir. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete vaccinations and biometric assessments with accuracy and efficiency
  • Support the delivery of patient care with basic nursing functions, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction
  • Greet clients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous way
  • Ensure all clinic procedures are adhered to and completed in a timely manner, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Answer client questions in accordance with company procedures, maintaining confidentiality and discretion
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to data protection requirements
  • Assist with other clinic duties as required, supporting team members and contributing to a positive and productive work environment
  • Prepare for site deployment, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Take payments from clients, following payment handling procedures
  • Oversee and ensure supplies, tests, and client literature are available as needed
  • Maintain working areas and equipment to the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene
Potential Phlebotomy Duties
  • Collect blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary technique, processing samples according to laboratory guidelines
  • Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and efficiency
  • Process billing information and collect payments as required
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Deliver samples to the laboratory in established time frames
  • May perform waived testing, providing superior customer service to all patients
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or current, active license to practice in Colorado, or certified EMT
  • Phlebotomist certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in an MA or EMT role, with previous experience in patient-facing roles and phlebotomy duties
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively across teams and clients
  • Ability to use Word, Excel, Email, Internet, and in-house systems
  • Ability to drive between multiple clinic sites and have responsibility for various sites
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day
  • Must be able to stand most of the day on concrete or hard floors
  • Physical ability to work around children
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
  • Physically traveling from one work site to another
