Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Juvenile Justice Specialist I/II. This role will involve providing critical services to youth and their families, including intake interviews, case management, and counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake interviews with juvenile offenders and their families to assess their needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to youth, as well as arrange for health screenings and recommend placements.
  • Visit clients in out-of-home placements and ensure that appropriate services are being provided.
  • Prepare reports for the court, District Attorney's office, and Parole Board, and may testify in court as an expert witness.
  • Act as a liaison with community resources, courts, and law enforcement entities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field.
  • One year of professional experience in juvenile justice, social work, or a related field.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and provide crisis intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with youth, families, and community partners to provide critical services and support.
