Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting construction operations, overseeing project administration, and collaborating closely with the Project Manager on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. This position involves leading and mentoring field engineers and administrative personnel to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering tasks for assigned projects.
• Ensure effective project execution, managing resources efficiently.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies for each initiative.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing regular management updates.
• Prepare comprehensive project status reports covering all critical aspects.
• Maintain effective communication and tracking of project documentation, including Action Items and Change Orders.
• Evaluate subcontractor performance in terms of quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
• Review project specifications and coordinate with vendors and clients.
• Facilitate engineering site visits and address contractor inquiries.
• Ensure timely delivery and review of all project-related documents.
• Participate in job site meetings to assess project progress.
• Conduct initial reviews of vendor payment applications to validate project milestones.
• Negotiate and recommend actions on proposed changes and directives.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather project requirements.
• Review engineering outputs and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
• Manage project scope, timelines, quality, and associated risks.
• Create and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify project details.
• Document and monitor the impact of RFIs on project scope and costs.
• Provide support to the Project Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• 6-8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• In-depth technical knowledge of engineering, design, and construction processes.
• Experience in project management within engineering or construction firms.
• Familiarity with project scheduling and cost estimation.
• Understanding of health, safety, security, environmental, and quality (HSSEQ) standards.

Software Proficiency

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong capabilities in MS Project.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
