Facility Details: This institution is a 581-bed hospital dedicated to adult healthcare, featuring a specialized Wound & Hyperbaric Center that offers treatment for complex and chronic wounds, alongside hyperbaric therapies.
Location Insights: The facility is situated in a charming mid-sized city known for its southern hospitality and reasonable cost of living, with convenient access to several major metropolitan areas.
Program Objectives: Our mission is to enhance patient functionality and quality of life through superior care and tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
Staffing Structure: The Outpatient Wound and HBO Center is designed to operate with two physicians managing clinics and overseeing Hyperbaric treatments. The center operates five days a week, allowing for concurrent physician work. Currently, there is one full-time physician along with three private practice physicians.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, or Vascular Surgery.
- Completion of a postgraduate fellowship through an ACGME accredited program.
- Open to both new graduates and experienced professionals.
- Experience in managing diabetes and high-risk patients for amputations.
- Wound Certification is preferred but can be acquired within one year of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care resulting in quality outcomes.
- Act as a physician leader in promoting the Wound Care Program within the community, in partnership with the Outpatient Wound and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Manager.
- Contribute to the development of a new initiative focused on amputation prevention, collaborating with various medical specialties.
- Engage in teamwork with skilled nursing professionals.
