Job Overview
This Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role is focused on advancing Amgen's mission in the field of Rare Diseases. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, researchers, and patient advocacy groups.
Responsibilities
- Implement Amgen's medical strategy and product plans across the designated territory, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and execute scientific presentations, publications, and educational programs to support Amgen's products and pipeline in Rare Diseases.
- Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, thought leaders, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical research and trends in Rare Diseases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales teams, market access specialists, and regulatory experts, to ensure alignment and effective execution of medical strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with external stakeholders and contribute to the development of reports and insights to inform business decisions.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Rare Diseases, applying this knowledge to enhance Amgen's offerings and capabilities.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree or equivalent experience in a medically related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison role or equivalent position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
- Strong understanding of Rare Diseases, including their causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to travel frequently, as needed, to attend meetings, conferences, and other events.
