Global Medical Science Liaison for Liver Disease Expertise

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Medical Science Liaison, focusing on liver disease expertise. As part of our US Medical Affairs team at Gilead Sciences, Inc., you will play a critical role in supporting field-facing activities related to the company's plans of action for Hepatitis C (HCV), Hepatitis B (HBV), and Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC).
This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual with advanced medical/scientific/clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA preferred) and relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related healthcare field. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a medically related profession, strong demonstrated knowledge of the clinical research process, treatment landscape, and professional society treatment guidelines are required.
Key responsibilities will include delivering timely, accurate, and succinct clinical, scientific, and educational presentations to healthcare providers in liver disease, both proactively and in response to requests for information, consistent with promotional compliance, PhRMA guidelines, and FDA regulatory requirements. You will implement defined goals and objectives aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan of Action and other strategic initiatives for HCV, HBV, and PBC.
Job Responsibilities:- Clinical Presentations: Develop and deliver high-quality presentations to healthcare providers, including large groups, on liver disease topics.
- Strategic Planning: Implement defined goals and objectives aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan of Action and other strategic initiatives.
- Thought Leader Development: Cultivate and maintain working relationships with existing and future thought leaders in the assigned region.
- Competitive Intelligence: Provide timely insights to the strategy and competitive intelligence teams regarding treatment practice and trends observed in field interactions.
- Advisory Boards: Participate in advisory boards and educational programs, including speaker training sessions and clinical conferences.
- Collaboration: Collaborate appropriately with colleagues across other functional areas, including Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Clinical Operations, Strategic Operations, Government and Public Affairs, Commercial, and Marketing.
The salary range for this position is: $176,000 - $264,000. Eligible employees may participate in benefit plans, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
