About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Image Reconstruction Algorithm Engineer to join our medical imaging team at Noah Medical. In this role, you will apply medical image reconstruction algorithms to the research and development of an image-guided medical robotic system for lung intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with users and a well-established team to understand clinical needs and invent innovative image-guided intervention solutions
  • Research, prototype, and iterate algorithmic solutions to medical imaging problems to establish industry leadership
  • Contribute high-quality software to create medical products that are safe and effective
  • Perform engineering evaluations, support clinical testing, and draft technical/regulatory documentation
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience after completing undergraduate degree
  • MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Radiology or other related programs; PhD is highly desired
  • Proficient programming skills in C++ / Python; effective object oriented programming
  • Extensive knowledge in X-ray / CT medical imaging physics
  • Extensive hands-on expertise in CT/CBCT/tomosynthesis image reconstruction algorithms: FDK, iterative reconstruction, model-based reconstruction, metal artifact reduction and deep learning-based reconstruction
  • Solid foundation of mathematics and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience in machine learning and deep learning
  • Product development experience in commercializing relevant algorithms is highly preferred
  • Experience with algorithm acceleration and CUDA is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of medical image analysis (segmentation, registration) is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of computer vision and medical image visualization is preferred
  • A passion to applying cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world medical problems
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills
