Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drywall Estimator to join our team at Performance Contracting Group. As a key member of our construction project team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed estimates for drywall construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects to ensure accurate estimates
  • Establish labor productivities for estimates to ensure competitiveness
  • Maintain positive relationships with area vendors to secure competitive material and equipment pricing
  • Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group
  • Understand market conditions, including competitive approach, backlog, and risk factors, to establish margin percentages
  • Participate in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams
  • Contract administration for secured projects
  • Prepare wage and benefit schedules
  • Assist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team
  • Assist in other duties as assigned, such as change order management or billings
Requirements
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in estimating drywall construction projects
  • Experience with estimating/project management/managing drywall scopes of construction
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work
  • Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis
  • Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management
  • Experience working with union representatives is preferred
  • OSHA Certification
  • Local to the metro area is preferred
