Job Summary

The Valves Actuators Lines and Ducts Propulsion Team at Amentum (Jacobs ESSCA Group) is seeking a highly skilled Valve Design and Development Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to commercial partners as part of an Insight Team.
  • Contribute to risk reduction efforts by analyzing and addressing non-conformances related to vehicle valves.
  • Analyze data from testing and flight to identify anomalies and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure the certification of launch vehicle components to contractually tailored design and test standards.
  • Document and communicate valve-related assessments to a cross-functional launch vehicle engineering team.
  • Support remote and on-site audits for component build and testing.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering or a related STEM field is required.
  • A degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred.
  • Typically, a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience is required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience in the design and certification of aerospace propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of NASA and/or aerospace design and construction standards.
  • CAD experience, particularly with CREO.
