We're seeking a skilled Assembly Technician - Rocket Engine Specialist to join our team at Blue Origin. As part of our Operations department, you will play a critical role in the development of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems.

This role involves providing tactical and technical support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro/mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.

Key responsibilities include precision assembly of rocket engine components, hydraulic testing for valve actuation, nitrogen and helium leak testing, preparation for environmental testing, and hydro proof structural testing of components.

You will also support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipment, help maintain inventory of tooling and equipment, and safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and fast-paced operations.

Additionally, you will identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule, and support the development of manufacturing work instructions to clearly define manufacturing processes.

Requirements include 4 to 6 years of direct valve, turbomachinery, or engine assembly experience, mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly, and strong written, personal, technical, and software skills.
