Reporting Structure
REPORTS TO: Director of Catering and Conference Services
Key Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Director of Catering and Events, oversee the planning, execution, and administrative tasks for group and catering events, ensuring adherence to our luxury brand standards.
- Collaborate with sales, front office, and reservations teams to effectively manage guest room allocations and specific reservation requirements.
- Designate banquet and meeting room setups tailored to client needs, such as classroom or round table arrangements. Review the work of banquet staff to ensure precision and quality.
- Build relationships with and host meeting planners while showcasing hotel facilities and services. Conduct both onsite and virtual tours for clients to meet our luxury brand expectations.
- Organize and lead pre- and post-event meetings with clients and relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of group activities. Utilize a computer system to track and generate reports on account histories.
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
- Exhibit a willingness to assist with assigned duties and support colleagues in other departments as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Proficiency in English communication is essential. A self-motivated individual with a balanced demeanor is required. Maintain a polished appearance and professional conduct at all times. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective guest interactions. A collaborative spirit is vital, with a readiness to assist coworkers. Familiarity with lighting and sound equipment is advantageous. Competence in using moderately complex computer systems is required. Ability to manage interactions with both internal and external clients, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and gather accurate information. Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and/or pushing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is important, along with the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as needed.
