Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Resilience Water Structural Team in a global business area focused on protecting our natural environment and water resources.

As a Structural Engineer, you will work on water/wastewater structural engineering design and construction projects, including production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans and specifications for water/wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work with a well-defined scope.
  • Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications.
  • Develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents.
  • Work directly with various engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle.
  • Exercise judgment on details of work and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
  • Produce engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes, or to oversee construction activities.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant structural experience.
  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification.

  • Familiarity/experience utilizing MathCAD, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and other structural software.
