Job Summary:

This is a full-time Therapist position in a therapeutic group home for refugee minors. The successful candidate will provide individual and group therapy, coordinate program services, and maintain a high level of clinical expertise. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least one year of post-educational experience counseling. Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain awareness of current trends and relevant evidence-based practices to recommend changes in agency policy and practice.
  • Coordinate program services, including medical, education, and psychological testing, directly or through consultation with other service providers.
  • Provide weekly individual and group therapy to residents.
  • Complete proper documentation and write reports, including clinical depth and breadth of service, and concrete clinical progress and goals.
  • Coordinate outside professional consultations when needed, ensuring timely and effective documentation.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions based on caseload and/or coverage needs, utilizing the trauma model chosen for the respective program.
  • Attend meetings with the treatment team on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services.
  • Stay up-to-date on treatment modalities, completing and coordinating trainings as required by funding sources.
  • Implement and promote service delivery through a trauma-responsive lens consistent with the Sanctuary Model of Care.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least one year of post-educational experience counseling.
  • Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations.
  • Active Certification/License in the state of the work location.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.
