Job Description

Position Title: Senior Training Coordinator

Overview:

As a Senior Training Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing a team of training professionals and support personnel; directing the planning, organization, facilitation, and execution of training programs within the agency; and managing the curriculum development process conducted by junior staff members. You will also be tasked with creating innovative training initiatives and adjusting existing programs based on comprehensive assessments of training needs. Your role will involve evaluating training effectiveness, serving as a consultant for both internal and external training programs, and supervising the administration of training contracts.

In smaller facilities, you may hold the highest training position, taking full responsibility for all training-related matters and reporting to a program or administrative supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must successfully complete a Civil Service examination.

On or before the examination date, you must be a qualified employee of New York State and have completed three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in one of the following roles:

Either A. as a Training Specialist 1, Training Specialist Trainee 1, Training Specialist Trainee 2, Agency Training and Development Specialist 1, Agency Training and Development Specialist Trainee 1, Agency Training and Development Specialist Trainee 2, Human Services Training Specialist 1, Human Services Training Specialist Trainee 1, Human Services Training Specialist Trainee 2;

Or B. Training Specialist 1 (Mental Hygiene), Training Specialist 1 (Nursing), Local Government Specialist 1, Supervising Equipment Operator Instructor, Mental Hygiene Staff Development Specialist 3, Mental Hygiene Staff Development Specialist 3 (Various Parenthetics), Land Use Training Specialist 1, Training Specialist 1 (Addictions), Training Specialist 1 (Child Protective Services), Training Specialist 1 (Child Welfare), and Training Specialist 1 (Instructional Design).

Only the titles listed above are qualifying.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $84,106,454.00 per year
