Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Rotolo's Youngsville. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products that meet our guests' expectations.

• Ensure the quality of all food products served, adhering to our standards and procedures.
• Stock and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages and ensure a smooth service period.
• Portion food products accurately and efficiently, following standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Handle, store, and rotate products properly to prevent spoilage and waste.
• Assist fellow kitchen staff as needed, providing support during peak periods.
• Participate in food preparation assignments during off-peak periods, as required.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Close and open the kitchen properly, following established checklists and procedures.
• Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all colleagues.
• Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.
• Operate Point of Sale and telephone systems to take orders from customers, as needed.
• Adhere to safe food handling practices and follow all rules and policies stated in the employee handbook.

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen procedures and functions.
• Phone skills and ability to understand Point of Sale systems.
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
• Capacity to safely lift and maneuver up to 50lbs of product.
