Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Development Director to lead the fundraising efforts for the Cardiovascular Health and Surgery program at Stanford University. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-renowned institution and contribute to the advancement of cardiovascular health and surgery research, education, and clinical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, donors, and community leaders.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders and faculty to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals for transformative gifts.
  • Manage a dedicated fundraiser and provide guidance and support to ensure successful fundraising outcomes.
  • Stay informed on current university initiatives and activities, including campaign priorities, and contribute to the overall priorities of Stanford Medicine.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience and management experience, preferably in an educational institution or nonprofit or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others; be at ease with colleagues at all levels, faculty, top executives and community leaders, gaining their respect and confidence.
  • Proven ability to achieve fundraising goals and a high level of comfort and effectiveness working with faculty, high net worth individuals, business executives, and community leaders.
