At Essentia Health, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at St Josephs Medical Center. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, providing therapy services, and educating patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our patients. This includes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates patients to identify areas of impairment and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provides physical therapy services, including exercises, manual therapies, and modalities as prescribed by the plan of care
  • Edits patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies to promote optimal recovery and independence
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate discharge planning
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and communication with the healthcare team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state where the facility is located
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
