Job Summary

The Utility Driver plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of Kreher Family Farms by providing CDL-A driving skills to transport goods and materials across various locations. This position requires a high degree of flexibility, as the driver may be required to assist with other duties and responsibilities on and around the farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Accurate Records

The Utility Driver is responsible for maintaining proper paperwork, including logs and shipping documents. This ensures that all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Meet Kreher's Trucking Standards

The driver must meet Kreher's standards for trucking from various locations while keeping their CDL-A license current. This includes regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient transportation.

Monitor and Maintain Vehicles

The Utility Driver is responsible for monitoring the truck's condition, performing minor maintenance tasks, and informing the Crop Shop Supervisor of any needed services or repairs.

Interact with Vendors

The driver interacts with vendors when unloading products and communicates Egg Farm hours and quality standards to vendors.

Communicate Effectively

The Utility Driver maintains two-way communication with the Flex Team Manager and team members to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.

Teamwork and Respect

The driver acts as a team player, supporting and encouraging co-workers, and treats them with respect.

Adaptability and Flexibility

The Utility Driver is able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team, and is able and willing to be flexible and work in a changing environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Operational Skills

The driver must be skilled in the operation of a forklift and skid steer.

Communication and Teamwork

The Utility Driver must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.

Initiative and Adaptability

The driver must have a high degree of initiative and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.

Organizational Skills

The Utility Driver must have strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Commercial Driver's License

The driver must have a clean Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License.
