GNC Mission Design Engineer

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a GNC Mission Design Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and optimizing the trajectory of our launch vehicles, ensuring the success of our missions.
Responsibilities:- Design and optimize the trajectory of Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles for various mission requirements.
- Develop and verify flight constants and guidance parameters to meet mission objectives.
- Support launch and mission operations, from pre-flight testing to console operation and post-flight data review.
- Develop automation tools and implement new software or algorithms to support mission unique capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless mission execution.
- Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- Experience with orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
- Master's degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- Experience with launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight.
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required.
