Position Overview

DeSoto Collision Center is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team.

The Vehicle Body Repair Specialist is responsible for restoring damaged vehicle bodies in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards, utilizing both hand tools and power tools.
  • Disassemble and de-trim vehicles as necessary
  • Utilize parts carts effectively for organization
  • Conduct pre-repair assessments to determine repair versus replacement needs
  • Assist in identifying necessary parts for repairs
  • Execute quality repairs while ensuring no defects are overlooked
  • Refer to technical information sheets and work orders for all repair tasks
  • Adhere to DeSoto Collision Center's quality control procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety
  • Follow all safety rules, guidelines, and standards set by DeSoto Collision Center
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to ensure efficient repair processes

Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Familiarity with manufacturers' repair protocols
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through I-Car Pro level training and other industry-required education
  • Consistent attendance is essential
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret written estimates and work orders
  • This role is physically demanding; candidates must be able to stand for extended periods while repairing vehicles
  • Must be capable of walking, sitting, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, or crawling frequently
  • Proficiency in using hands effectively for handling vehicle components
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, fumes, paint, and other materials, both hazardous and non-hazardous, is expected
