About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Cybersecurity Expert to join our team in the DMV area. This opportunity is available in Washington, DC and Maryland.

This position is an integral part of a diverse team working at an industry-leading organization that prioritizes employee development and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will lead efforts in designing and implementing security controls for IT systems, working closely with Development and Sustainment Teams.
  • They will review results from security test and evaluation events.
  • They will analyze reports on system security status and identify areas for follow-up.
  • The Cybersecurity Expert will supervise and mentor subordinate projects and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline and 7 years of relevant experience are required.
  • High School diploma and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged for a required Bachelor's degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with implementing policies regarding individual privacy rights in IT systems.
  • A DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in an IT-related discipline is preferred.
  • Relevant industry-standard certifications such as CSSP(IR), CEH, CySA+, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security are also preferred.
Clearance Requirements
  • A current TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • The selected candidate must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $92,400-$154,100 based on relevant work experience, skills, and geographic location.
