About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert in Governance, Risk, and Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and provide expert guidance on information assurance and cybersecurity matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs, providing advisory support to customers and MPG teams
  • Monitor new federal guidance, perform research, and assess impact, disseminating relevant information and providing guidance on relevant actions
  • Review existing GRC processes and templates, recommending changes as needed
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, reviewing deliverable content and leading retrospectives to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities
  • Lead executive briefings and provide direction on security control reviews, audits, evaluations, and risk assessments
  • Provide advisory support on Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) programs, including policies, procedures, templates, and technologies
  • Advise on implementing the Department's cybersecurity training program and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives across teams and skillsets
  • Support specific technical reviews, including design, development, and maintenance of unique security assessment tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Minimum 8 years of general experience and 6 years of relevant experience in functional responsibility
  • Well-versed in cyber risk management, with experience working with SDLC and performing security tasks throughout
  • Experience with FISMA compliance, conducting Certification and Accreditation, and creating documentation in accordance with NIST guidance
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with concise writing skills and demonstrated experience interacting with senior leadership
