Job Summary

The Army National Guard is seeking highly skilled and trained individuals to maintain and operate sophisticated test equipment. As an Integrated Family of Test Equipment (IFTE) Operator/Maintainer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Army National Guard's weapons systems operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance on shop replaceable units, system supported line replaceable units, and test program sets
  • Operate and perform preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles and power generators
  • Install supported weapon system test program sets and replace defective components
  • Read technical diagrams and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with electrical and electronic test equipment
  • Interest in solving complex technical problems
What You'll Learn

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to excel in a variety of civilian careers, including manufacturing, medical research, and satellite communications. You may also be eligible for certification as an Electronics Technician Association (ETA) member.

Earn While You Learn

In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training for an IFTE Operator/Maintainer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 34 weeks of classroom instruction, including practice in repairing and replacing equipment parts.
