Role Summary:
This role offers environmental support to the facility concerning air, water, and waste management issues.

The position involves monitoring and upholding environmental programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all environmental aspects of the facility and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in the collection and preparation of necessary reports for federal and state agencies, as well as internal company documentation, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Serve as a resource for the site to address daily environmental inquiries and assist in the development of environmental education and training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with facility environmental plans, conducting inspections and updating plans as necessary.
  • Support investigations into environmental incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate closely with key personnel to monitor daily environmental metrics to ensure compliance.
  • Work alongside the engineering team to provide guidance on facility-related projects.
  • Coordinate with external service providers as needed to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Promote environmental Best Management Practices throughout the site.
  • Assist in the formulation of environmental procedures and guidance documents, reviewing those created by other departments to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Familiarity with state, local, and U.S. Government regulations (OSHA, EPA, IDNR, etc.) is essential.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills are required.
