Job Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to deliver shipping and transfer assistance to the Production Team.

This role is designed to guarantee that our products are prepared for Production use, meticulously audited, properly handled, securely stored, and efficiently shipped while adhering to our stringent quality standards and maintaining optimal customer service levels.

Qualifications We Seek:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in logistics or transportation.
  • Fundamental understanding of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems.
  • Certification in forklift operation.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Championing safety and quality within warehouse and shipping functions.

    Comply with all safety and quality standards set by Mars Inc/Royal Canin.

    Support the Packaging Line operations.

    Wrap pallets of finished goods using stretch-wrap materials.

    Organize empty bags for the Packaging Line as required.

    Consolidate broken down cardboard boxes into the case erector for the Packaging Line as needed.

    Prepare finished products for staging in the warehouse or trailers.

    Get trailers ready for loading.

    Load trailers with finished goods.

    Unload production supplies (raw materials, packaging, pallets) from trailers.

    Report any issues to the Shipping Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Shift Manager, or Flow Manager.

    Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and control through cycle counts.

    Verify all necessary documentation, including quality, production, and sanitation records.

    Ensure that all housekeeping tasks are completed and that the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is followed. Conduct changeovers and walkthroughs with the incoming and outgoing teams to discuss the shipping area status and ensure cleanliness and safety.

    Drive initiatives for 5S improvements in shipping and warehouse operations.

    Oversee and maintain the forklift charging/equalization schedule and rack inspections.

    Ensure all forklift pre-checks are completed.

    Perform additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Warehouse Coordinator.

    Support other production areas as requested.
