General Overview:

The Corporate Accounting Staff Accountant for Producer Payables plays a crucial role in managing the processing of compensation and other payable items related to producers within the Corporate accounting division.


Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Corporate Accounting Manager in overseeing Producer & Compensation Payables, ensuring compliance with Paid Basis Accounting Procedures across multiple retail regions.
- Assist in the reconciliation and clearing of payable records from the Sub-ledger.
- Facilitate the entry of Value Added charges into the Sub-ledger through VPI submissions.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations between Producer Payable General Ledger and Sub-Ledger.
- Upload producer Paid Basis reports to the Producer Portal for accessibility.
- Generate and distribute Paid Basis reports to producers as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- A minimum of two to four years of relevant accounting and financial experience is required.
- Prior experience in accounts payable is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Insurance Agency Management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential.
- A strong work ethic coupled with a sense of urgency is necessary.
- Must be an organized self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team setting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to retain critical information are vital.
- A positive attitude, self-motivation, and teamwork are essential traits.
