Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Wellpath. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychiatric consultation, diagnostic, and treatment services to patients, including medication management and crisis intervention services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate effectiveness of interventions, including medication management and crisis intervention services.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with organization policies and procedures, state guidelines, and best practices, including medication education, seclusion/restraint use, infection control, and risk management.
- Provide individualized care sensitive to the age and developmental needs of each patient, and participate in on-call schedules and mandatory committees as required.
- Adhere to established formularies for therapeutic regimens and utilize established procedures for admission, transfer, and specialty consultant referrals.
- Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Psychiatric experience preferred and/or experience in a residential healthcare institution.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice highly desired.
