Job Summary:

The Lead Application Developer role at Milliman is a key position that involves leading and managing a team of application developers in building scalable web solutions. This role requires working closely with other teams to understand and translate requirements into functional software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee software development products while managing a team of application developers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of new analytic and web-based applications.
  • Research, design, and develop new solutions using C# and other cloud technologies.
  • Maintain and extend existing web-based applications.
  • Ensure the development team follows our SDLC and other best practices.
  • Provide mentorship to your team, working with individuals on their goals and career development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in application development.
  • Experience and intermediate proficiency with several technologies, including C#, React, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of and experience with software architecture frameworks and design patterns.
  • Experience in cloud technologies.
  • Experience using big data technologies to manage large data sets.
  • Exposure to reporting tools, such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Systems methodology experience.

What We Offer:

Milliman offers a competitive salary range of $96,000 - $194,000, depending on relevant factors, including education, work experience, certifications, etc. This role can be located remotely within the US. We also offer a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with matching program, and profit-sharing contribution.
