About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Petcare Hospital & Wellness Center, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing end-to-end care for our patients, working closely with veterinarians and other medical professionals to ensure the highest level of quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in providing quality care, advocating for pets, and educating clients
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, maintaining a clean and sterile environment
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems to ensure efficiency
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients, maintaining medical charts and using safe restraining techniques
Requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on client care, with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with common disease processes, treatments, and medications associated with their care
  • Strong medical math skills, including calculation of fluid rate, common CRI's, and multimodal drug infusion
  • Ability to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02, integrating clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care
