MEP Estimator

As an MEP Estimator at TDIndustries, you will be responsible for producing detailed material and labor estimates for mechanical and plumbing systems. This includes creating conceptual estimates based on available information, historical data, experience, and basic engineering concepts. Your estimates will include materials, consumables, incorporated equipment, and labor, as well as direct and indirect costs.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce project estimates using prescribed forms, industry-recognized techniques, company processes, and procedures.
* Prepare proposal letters, scope qualifications, exclusions, and final pricings.
* Assess final estimates for project compliance, reasonable use of materials, pricing, and total value compared to similar work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Monitor all addenda, scope changes, and bid forms to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the estimate in a timely manner.
* Provide expert advice on vendor selection and obtain and review pricing quotes.
* Review all vendor proposals to identify technical compliance.
* Review project plans and specifications to gain a complete understanding of the project's scope.
* Assist with scope qualifications, exclusions, and final pricings while working with the business development team to finalize proposals.
* Review architectural, structural, and civil documents to examine their impact on the mechanical and plumbing scope of work.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.
* 2+ years of experience estimating in the commercial MEP space is required.
