AVI Foodsystems is seeking a seasoned culinary leader to fill the role of Executive Sous Chef at Alfred University in Alfred, NY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

• Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients and exceed their expectations
• Lead a team of culinary professionals to ensure seamless kitchen operations and exceptional food quality
• Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement culinary strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a culinary lead role, preferably in a high-volume catering environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work PM shifts
