Job Description

**Job Summary**

FPI Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Community Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of a large-scale affordable housing property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily property management, with a focus on affordable housing programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring that their operational and financial goals are met.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with applicants, residents, vendors, and guests, representing FPI Management, Inc. in a professional manner.
  • Employee Management: Supervise and develop the site team members, including hiring, training, and evaluation.
  • Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels, oversee leasing techniques, and develop marketing strategies to attract new residents.
  • Revenue Management: Manage the maximum revenue potential of the property, including lease expirations, rent collections, and budget management.
  • Reporting and Document Management: Maintain accurate and confidential resident files, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with risk management items, including injury reporting, permit requirements, and OSHA regulations.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist residents with maintenance requests, document facility needs, and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: 3 years' experience in affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs, and USDA-Rural Development.
  • Affordable Housing Accreditation: HCCP, HCP-E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO, or other applicable designations.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in residential property management.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; college degree in a relatable field preferred.
  • Certifications: ARM, CAM, CAPS, COS, CPM, MPM, RMP, or other relevant certifications.
  • Skills: Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English; strong computer skills, including MS Office, Google Apps, and property management software.
