Project Manager, Infrastructure Specialist

As a Project Manager, Infrastructure Specialist at Hispanic Technology Executive Council, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and large complex projects with multiple work streams. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will be essential in developing and executing an efficient internal and external communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team.

You will be responsible for creating in-depth Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with interdependencies and a defined critical path, monitoring and reporting on project progress to stakeholders, and building and strengthening relationships with the customer and stakeholders (internal and external).

Your ability to utilize project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiencies will be crucial in ensuring profitable and successful execution of all assigned engagements as measured by regional goals and customer feedback.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple and large complex projects with multiple work streams
  • Creating in-depth WBS with interdependencies and a defined critical path
  • Developing and executing an efficient internal and external communication strategy
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress to stakeholders
  • Building and strengthening relationships with the customer and stakeholders
  • Utilizing project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiencies
  • Implementing engagement review and quality assurance procedures
  • Ensuring profitable and successful execution of all assigned engagements

Requirements include:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Technical Project Manager
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment is required (must have led external customer-facing projects, not internal operational projects)
  • Prefer candidates with a State/Local Government/Educational background who understand how to read and interpret government contract awards
  • Must be in the Eastern Time Zone (USA)
  • PMP certification is desired
  • Understanding of financial processes; ability to understand, analyze, and create financial reports (preferred experience with Clarity)
  • Extensive experience with people management, strategic planning, and change management
  • Proven experience with risk management; demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately to leadership
  • Understanding of and the ability to utilize the process of stakeholder analysis
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office Tools - PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers
  • Experience in effectively influencing and leading personnel and the ability to write business reports in a well-organized manner
  • Strong team building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Proficiency with project management software
