Job Summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in an Acute Inpatient setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting speech therapy treatment programs for patients. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating patient responses to treatment and recommending changes to treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans for patients
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in in-service and continuing education programs to stay current with best practices
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of speech therapy programs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current Speech Pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with pediatric and adult populations
