We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of procedures applying ionizing radiation, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Procedure Execution: Identify patients and procedures, communicate with nursing or physician concerning patient, and inform nursing of patients that need IV sedation or biopsies.
- Patient Preparation: Position patients accurately for all CT procedures, ensuring anatomy is demonstrated for best visibility.
- Scanning Protocols: Know scanning protocols in depth, perform procedures correctly using protocol book for reference, and ensure studies are done in a timely manner.
- Equipment Maintenance: Obtain appropriate supplies, prepare room for patient, and keep room cleaned and stocked at all times.
- Communication: Explain CT procedure to patient and/or family member, obtain completed questionnaire and proper history and clinical from patient, floor or physician's office, and inform patients and families of all delays.
- Quality Control: Acquire requisition and checks for appropriate clinical, charge procedure, supplies and surgical codes when exam is completed, and report equipment problems to supervisor, in-charge tech, and document confirmation numbers.
- Certification: ARRT Registered and registered in CT
- Education: Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills, 3D Imaging preferred, Basic computer skills, Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier), Data entry
