About the Role

Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and provide sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
  • Assist with the care, preparation, and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure a collaborative work environment.
  • Assist in training and orientation of students and new staff members.
  • Comply with established hospital policies, procedures, and practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Certification through a nationally recognized certifying agency (e.g., NBSTSA or NCCT).
  • CPR certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in surgical technology (preferred).
