A skilled Surgical Technician is sought after by Dayton Children's Hospital to assist surgeons in the pediatric intraoperative phase. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the healthcare team to meet the needs of patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining sterile technique.
Responsibilities:
• Assist surgeons in the pediatric intraoperative phase, adhering to AORN and OSA standards of practice.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to meet the needs of patients and families, providing exceptional customer service.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare for each procedure with age-appropriate instrumentation and supplies.
• Utilize physicians' preference cards and pass instrumentation as needed.
Requirements:
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology is required.
• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Surgical Technical school.
• Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (CIS) is preferred.
• CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.
Education Requirements:
Associates (Required), GED, High School (Required)
