Registered Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our Intensive Care Unit and Med Surg team at Holy Rosary Hospital. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe and healthy environment that supports the work of the healthcare team and contributes to patient engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop staffing matrices that facilitate safe and quality patient care using practice standards and resource stewardship.
- Evaluate staffing patterns and unit demands, matching competency and patient needs.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new associates, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
- Conduct associate evaluations, assist with goal setting, and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Facilitate associate education, ensure competency validation, and promote professional development.
- Retention of associates, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Promote cultural competence and an environment that embraces diversity, fostering a culture of inclusivity.
- Demonstrate a growing knowledge of patient populations and standards of care delivery in the unit.
- Facilitate performance improvement by identifying key performance indicators, establishing data collection methodology, evaluating data, and responding to findings with action plans.
- Routinely assess patient satisfaction and develop strategies to improve the patient experience.
- Monitor and report patient and associate safety events, participating in root cause analysis and promoting evidence-based practice changes.
- Maintain regulatory and survey readiness, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor and promote workplace safety, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, required.
- Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license with the ability to obtain RN license, required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or business, as well as leadership experience and formal leadership experience as a charge nurse or supervisor.
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
