Job Description

A professional dental team at G-DENTAL by Igor Pasisnitchenko DDS PA is seeking an experienced, motivated, and efficient dental assistant and sterilization technician to join our busy practice. We pride ourselves on quality service and care, so our ideal candidate must be friendly, responsible, punctual, ethical, and polite, as well as have good communication skills, organized, and willing to learn.

We estimate the annual salary for this role to be around $60,000 based on national averages for a dental assistant with experience in a similar setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment for each patient.
  • Organizing and laying out instruments for dentist's use, handing instruments and other materials to dentist during procedures.
  • Taking and developing x-rays into the system and taking impressions for casts.
  • Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures.
  • Proficiently making temporary crowns and bridges.
  • Obtaining patients' dental records.
  • Questioning patients about their medical history and recording information for dentist's reference.
  • Advising patients on dental care and making patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
  • Performing lab duties such as pouring models, fabricating whitening trays, night guards, and retainers.
  • Setting up rooms for all operative procedures and turning over rooms in an efficient manner.
  • Seating patients and obtaining consents.
  • Able to send cases to dental labs, properly entering into software with accurate return dates giving enough time for proper turnaround.

  • Experience in a dental office required.
  • Able to make temporary crowns and bridges.
  • Ability to present and close treatment plans (when needed).
  • Experience with Dentrix.
