Psychiatric Hospitalist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Hospitalist to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Psychiatric Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care to patients with a range of mental health conditions, including those with complex needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical, psychological, and social needs.
• Prescribe and manage medications, as well as provide psychotherapy and other interventions as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based treatments in psychiatric care.

Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in General or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Illinois medical license or ability to obtain.
• Suboxone waiver or ability to obtain (for positions with an addictions focus).
