Psychiatric Hospitalist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Hospitalist to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Psychiatric Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care to patients with a range of mental health conditions, including those with complex needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric conditions, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices, guidelines, and research in psychiatric care to provide the highest level of care.

Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in General Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Current Illinois medical license or ability to obtain.
• Suboxone waiver or ability to obtain (for positions with an addictions focus).
