We are seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Pulmonary and Renal Unit at Albany Medical Center. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to mentor professional caregivers.
About the RoleThe Assistant Nurse Manager will be responsible for coordinating patient care, planning, administrative management, financial and operational duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division.
Responsibilities- Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
- Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work.
- Ensure competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York.
- At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership role.
The estimated salary for this role is between $80,151 and $132,249 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement savings plan.
