Job Overview

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings.

As a Café Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a corporate dining facility, which includes overseeing café services, catering, reception, Barista bar, and pantry operations. You will lead a team of 6 to 8 staff members.

Your role will involve maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring that the food provided meets high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, supervise, train, and mentor team members.
  • Plan, promote, and execute special events and promotions within the café.
  • Ensure adherence to sanitation and cleanliness protocols.
  • Manage the budget effectively and seek innovative ways to enhance business performance.
  • Oversee all café operations.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required.
  • Develop marketing strategies for events and new initiatives in the café.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food service sectors.
  • Operational knowledge of cash handling processes and food service equipment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet usage).
  • ServSafe and NYC Health Department Certification is preferred (can be obtained post-hire).
