Procurement Leader for Northern California Behavioral Health System

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Northern California Behavioral Health System. The successful candidate will oversee purchasing strategy, manage supply chain operations, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
About the RoleThis is a pivotal position that requires strong leadership and negotiation skills, as well as experience in sourcing and procurement techniques. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the receipt and documentation of supplies, prepare outgoing shipments, and perform inventory management tasks.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Budget Management: Manage purchasing budgets, analyze costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Communication: Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hospital central supply distribution experience preferred.
- Skills: Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Officer, or Head of Purchasing; knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques; talent in negotiations and networking; good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software; aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
