Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.
About the RoleAs a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment. You will also be responsible for educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics and building long-term relationships with your patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work a full-time variable schedule with rotating Saturday shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
