Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at Sonic Anatomic Pathology. As a Histology Technician, you will play a vital role in the patient care process by preparing slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform histological processing, embedding, and staining of tissue samples
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers
  • Document and maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure quality control and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a school of Histotechnology accredited by CAHEA/NAACLS
  • 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
  • Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
